Crossplay word finder

A rack-and-pattern word finder scored with New York Times Crossplay letter values. Crossplay is new and the NYT hasn't published an official value table, so scores follow the most consistent community data — the word search itself is exact either way.

How to use it

  1. Type your rack; ? stands in for a blank tile.
  2. Slot words onto the board with rack / pattern — the pattern side takes ., *, [ao], and (fragments).
  3. Mark premium squares to score the position you're actually playing.

Example searches

RETINA?
every word from RETINA plus a blank
C[AO]T
CAT and COT — one letter chosen from a set
*(ing)
words ending in the fragment ING

Questions & answers

Are these the official Crossplay letter values?

The NYT hasn't published official values yet, so scoring follows the most consistent community-collected data and may shift as sources firm up. Word validity comes from the ENABLE list and is unaffected.
