? — a blank tile: Stands in for any letter. CAT? uses your three letters plus one wild tile.
/ — rack and board: Your tiles on the left, the board pattern on the right. RETINA? / C..T

Board patterns

. — one mystery letter: C.T finds CAT, COT, CUT.
* — any run of letters (or none): C*T finds CT, CAT, COMFORT.
.{1,2} — a mystery run of set length: Here, 1 to 2 letters. C.{1,2}T
(ing) — these letters, stuck together: *(ing) finds words ending in ING.
[ao] — any one of these letters: C[AO]T finds CAT and COT.
[^o] — any letter except these: C[^O]T finds CAT and CUT, not COT.

Narrow it down

+s — must include this letter: Repeat for more: +ee needs two E's. RETINA +S
-cat — must not contain these letters: In that order, anywhere in the word. *A* -CAT

Scrabble Scores tiles with Scrabble values. Add premium-square multipliers below to match your board. Words With Friends Scores tiles with Words With Friends values, with premium-square multipliers. Crossplay Scores tiles with NYT Crossplay values, with premium-square multipliers. Wordfeud Scores tiles with Wordfeud values, with premium-square multipliers. Wordle Five-letter solve. Type greens as a pattern (CR..E), yellows as +letter, grays as -letter. Length is preset to 5 — change it any time. Spelling Bee Letters may repeat and words are 4+ letters. Add the required center letter in the search box with +letter — e.g. type your letters then +g.

Letter repetition

Repeat letters Lets a letter repeat in a word even when it appears only once in your rack — so a single L can still spell hello. Great for Spelling Bee. Unique letters Forces every letter in a word to be different — dropping words that repeat a letter even when your rack holds it twice. Finds isograms.

Word frequency

Common words Keeps only everyday words (the 40k most frequent), dropping obscure dictionary-only entries. Helpful for Spelling Bee, whose own dictionary is much smaller than ours.

Word multipliers

Position:multiplier pairs, counted from the first letter (position 0). A double letter on the third tile is 2:2; a triple word is 0:3. Positions past a word's end are ignored for that word.

In the results, letters landing on a premium square are colored — double-letter, triple-letter — and a ×N chip on the score shows the bonus applied.
